 E-MAIL MR. McLAUGHLIN |
Mr. McLaughlin has tried over 50 jury trial to verdict and has prevailed in over 95% those cases. The matters handled by Mr. McLaughlin range from relatively straight-forward civil disputes to complex litigation involving Fortune 500 companies. And while a number of his trials involved difficult cases involving claims for hundreds of millions of dollars, he has never had one of his clients found liable for such damages.
Mr. McLaughlin is a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate with the National Board of Trial Advocacy, has been voted a ‘Super Lawyer’ for Northern California for the past three consecutive years, and is AV Peer Review rated. He has extensive experience in both state and federal courts as well as at both the trial and appellate levels.
Because of his substantial experience and unique qualifications, Mr. McLaughlin has been retained in a variety of cases, both as co-counsel and as an expert consultant. He has successfully gone ‘toe-to-toe’ with much larger firms, some of which boast of national reputations. And he has been retained by larger, national firms to act as local counsel in cases where the other side has resorted to aggressive, so-called “guerilla tactics,” in connection with hard fought cases.
Some of Mr. McLaughlin’s more notable strengths relates to his proven ability to quickly assimilate and evaluate difficult cases involving complex facts and legal issues, and to provide meaningful and useful insight, advice and recommendations with respect to litigation strategies and tactics. These skills have allowed Mr. McLaughlin to assist attorneys and law firms in strengthening their cases, improving their relationships with their clients relations, and lowering stress levels associated with ‘high-stakes’ litigation.
